The NOCN Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry is a programme designed to meet the needs of trainers who work in the Private Security Sector and wish to deliver training in Physical Intervention Skills.
Who Should Attend/Entry Requirements
All training staff who intend to deliver the SIA modular qualifications for Door Supervisors this includes the Level 2 Award in Upskilling Door Supervisors.
The NOCN Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry has two mandatory units; Unit 1 Delivering Physical Intervention Training and Unit 2 Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry.
• To develop the learners knowledge and understanding of assessing the training environment, to reduce risks in preparation for physical intervention training and knowledge of delivering physical intervention skills, including the legal and professional implications.
• To develop the learners’ knowledge and understanding of safely and effectively managing the learning environment, including how to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used.
• To develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of delivering instruction in using non-pain related physical skills to protect yourself and others from assault.
• To develop the learners knowledge and understanding of assessing physical intervention skills.
Multiple choice examination, practical assessment and an element of distance learning. Successful candidates will be awarded the NOCN Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry.
