The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is the new standard qualification for those considering delivering 'Adult Learning'. It has been designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authorities and replaces PTLLS's as the minimum requirement by most organisations who deliver 'Adult Education'.
Who Should Attend/Entry Requirements
Individuals who would like to work or currently work in Further Education Colleges, Independent Training Providers, and or Local Authorities. Students will be required to demonstrate the ability to complete written assignments and to study at Level 3.
Teaching qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers in a wide range of contexts and includes the following content;
• Lesson Planning
• Record Keeping
• Use of Resources
• The Learning Environment
• Communication Skills in Teaching and Learning
• Promoting Equality and Diversity in the Learning Environment
Through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. Learners will be expected to apply and show evidence of both theoretical and practical knowledge in their portfolio. Successful candidates will be awarded the Level 3 Award in Education & Training (QCF).
